Saray Martínez Lastras is currently a lecturer at the Faculty of Education and a researcher at the Higher Polytechnic School of Ávila, both at the University of Salamanca. She holds a PhD from the University of Salamanca in the Geotechnologies Applied to Construction, Energy and Industry doctoral programme, where she was awarded the highest distinction, Sobresaliente Cum Laude. She completed her doctoral studies with an FPU (University Teacher Training) scholarship.

She holds a Master’s degree in Mathematical Modelling, funded by a departmental collaboration scholarship at the Department of Mathematics Education, as well as a Master’s degree in Teacher Training for Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching. She graduated in Statistics from the University of Salamanca.

As a researcher, she has co-authored numerous scientific articles published in high-impact JCR-indexed journals, as well as contributions to national and international conferences. She has participated in numerous research projects, serving as Principal Investigator in some of them.
