Jorge López Rebollo
PhD candidate.

Jorge López Rebollo is currently a Predoctoral Researcher with FPU grant. Regarding his academic background, he graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Salamanca at the Polytechnic School of Avila in 2018 with Extraordinary Degree Award. He obtained the Master’s Degree in Cartographic Geotechnologies in Engineering and Architecture in 2020 with the VIII Centenary Excellence Programme Scholarship and the Santander Progreso Scholarship. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Geotechnologies applied to Construction, Energy and Industry, having obtained two grants in national competitive calls (Junta CyL and FPU). His current line of research focuses on the analysis and monitoring of new sustainable construction materials using full-field techniques. In his latest work, he has used techniques such as digital image correlation for mechanical analysis or thermography for thermal analysis. The main materials studied have been composite materials such as carbon and glass fibres, materials from additive manufacturing and sustainable concretes manufactured from recycled materials.
