Interuniversity PhD Program in Geotechnologies applied to Construction, Energy and Industry
The inter-university PhD Programme in Geotechnologies applied to Construction, Energy and Industry proposed by the University of Salamanca and the University of Vigo aims to contribute to filling a gap in the field of geotechnologies applied to key sectors such as industry, energy and construction. This program combines all the advantages that can offer the synergy between PhD Programs of several universities.
The geotechnologies cover different knowledge areas. Thanks to this, with the help of this PhD Program, this field can be expanded in terms of technology advance and competitiveness. Activities such as mapping, positioning systems, quantitative and qualitative verification in the execution and maintenance of works and buildings, or dimensional control in different fields of industry (naval, automotive, aeronautics, etc.), or in areas related to energy (energy efficiency, wind turbines, control of solar panels, etc.), are activities of great economic importance in which this field of knowledge is called upon to contribute to their improvement.
