Introduction to 3D design and manufacturing
Year of organisation: 2022
Number of hours of training: 30

The aim is to provide students with comprehensive knowledge in different fields such as engineering, health sciences or education, who wish to complement their professional profile, so that they acquire the technical knowledge that will give them the ability to design and manufacture objects using 3D printing. To this end, the design concepts of the “design thinking” methodology will be applied, as well as the “learning by doing” way of learning.

Data processing with Excel spreadsheets
Year of organisation: 2022
Number of hours of training: 10

The aim of this online course is to learn how to use Excel to process large amounts of data and information, as well as its interoperability with other office programs such as Word and Power Point. Throughout the course, students will learn how to efficiently process data, operate with it, apply data filters according to the user’s needs, create advanced graphics and layout the data for its correct printing.

Proposal for the implementation of the circular economy through training in new technologies and 3D.
Year of organisation: 2022
Number of hours of training: 50

To support entrepreneurs, freelancers and micro-enterprises in rural areas to create and grow their businesses by taking advantage of the opportunities offered by digital design and manufacturing to

Introduction to digital design and manufacturing applicable to engineering teaching
Year of organisation: 2021
Number of hours of training: 5

The aim is to show the industrial design process of a product from its creation and development phase until it becomes the final piece. In order to do this, the aim is to fully develop the process that takes place from the moment an idea emerges until it becomes a real object in the form of a prototype.

Smart Agriculture
Year of organisation: 2019
Number of hours of training: 15

This course has the aim of supporting workers and small companies of rural enviroments in order to create their business. To this end it was used the oportunities offered by the TICs and the digitailization of enviroments.

Renewable energy mapping for a distributed resource grid
Year of organisation: 2019
Number of hours of training: 30

The aim is to provide the student with comprehensive knowledge for the management of the exploitation of renewable resources, especially focused on the establishment of distributed energy networks, in which production is located close to the points of demand. The principles of the main renewable energy resources will be analysed, as well as the components of their installations and the possibilities of combining them (e.g. joint exploitation of solar energy and geothermal energy). The main models governing the behaviour of each resource will be presented, as well as their application with the aim of obtaining energy potential maps. The interpretation and enhancement of these maps will be carried out through the presentation of the main web programming languages, formats and information exchange standards, so that the student learns about the exploitation of renewable energies and about data publication strategies.

Expertise in advanced design of low enthalpy geothermal systems
Year of organisation: 2019
Number of hours of training: 30

It is a course that stems from the lines of research carried out by the group in recent years. The aim is to provide students with the latest techniques in the design and characterisation of geothermal systems. Each of the parameters involved in the sizing of these installations will be analysed, with special emphasis on the thermal conductivity of the collection field. The course includes different calculation methods as well as the practical realisation of a Thermal Response Test (TRT).

Geomarketing as a tool for entrepreneurship
Year of organisation: 2019
Number of hours of training: 200

The management of Geoinformation through GIS analysis techniques makes it possible to tackle problems that arise in the day-to-day life of entrepreneurs, such as finding the best location for their business or analysing the location and distribution of their customers or competitors, based on the mapping of spatial data and its interrelation with other factors and variables.
