He is a researcher in autonomous systems and computer vision with a background
in electrical engineering and AI. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering in
Electrical Engineering at the National University of Sciences and Technology
(NUST), Pakistan, and is currently completing his Master of Science in Electrical
Engineering with specialization in AI and Autonomous Systems at the same
institution, where he has been one of the top academic performers. His master’s
thesis is titled “Can VLMs Act As Teachers for Imitation Learning Agents: Visual SLAM
Tracking Case Study,” and focuses on using vision-language models to improve the
robustness of embodied navigation under SLAM tracking failures. He has worked
on projects involving Habitat and iGibson simulation, 3D reconstruction, synthetic
dataset generation, and semantic safety checks for navigation agents.
Professionally, he has experience in 3D reconstruction, digital-twin pipelines, and
computer vision quality assurance through roles at Pointivo, USA, the Government
of Pakistan, and currently CCRIPT Agency, where he works on production-grade
computer vision pipelines for automated quantity takeoff. He has also contributed
to teaching and mentoring at NUST. He has also been active in academic
leadership and extracurricular activities, including serving as President of the
Computer Society of Pakistan at NUST, mentoring in the ACM Peer-to-Peer
program, and receiving several awards and distinctions for academic performance,
leadership, and competition achievements. He was selected as the top-ranked
candidate for Doctoral Candidate position DC7 in the Horizon Europe MSCA
Doctoral Network WildBotics and will join the University of Salamanca in
September 2026 for his PhD.
