The developed work is part of the CoastScan Project for coastal monitoring using continuous 3D data and video. <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/tidop.usal.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image_1-4-1024x459.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"44621\" src=\"https:\/\/tidop.usal.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image_1-4-1024x459.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44621\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Specifically, the researcher has focused on the use of video and computer vision to complement the continuous 3D data. A methodology using YOLO (You Only Look Once) and Principal Components Analysis has been developed to automatically identify bulldozers carrying out works on a sandy beach. The methodology allowed the automatic identification of anthropogenic changes in the beach for a large dataset composed of several months of data.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/tidop.usal.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-6-1024x479.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tidop.usal.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-6-1024x479.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44622\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The work resulted in a research paper that is currently under review.
