The TIDOP Research Group joins up “Moving for Climate NOW”


“Moving for Climate NOW” is the name of the initiative of Iberdrola to create awareness at the international level on the importance of acting now against climate change in the framework of the next World Climate Summit (COP25). It’s a movement that take part NGOs, companies and administrations that consists on a route in electric bicycles of 500 kilometres. In particular, this is the fifth edition of the initiative,  which has begun in Salamanca and has ended in  Madrid  on december 2, to deliver a message on the urgency of uniting to combat climate change to the Climate Summit (COP25).


Among all the participants, there were two researchers from the TIDOP research group: Susana Lagüela López, the distinguished researcher in Cátedra Iberdrola-USAL VIII Centenario and María Sánchez Aparicio. This Project is aligned with two of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (Affordable and Clean Energy) and (Sustainable Cities and Communities). The main objective is the development of management tools for renewable energies using geospatial data, to promote the energy transition to a clean network based on distributed resources.
