He received a B.S. degree in surveying engineering from the University of Oviedo, Spain, in 2004, an M.S. degree in geodesy and cartography from the University of Salamanca, Avila, Spain, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in photogrammetry and computer vision from the University of Salamanca in 2011. He has authored over 100 research articles in international journals and conference proceedings, and 11 inventions. He has been a member of the University of León since 2017 and his research lines include photogrammetry and laser scanner 3D reconstruction, accuracy assessment, radiometric analysis and geometric calibration of geomatic sensors. Currently he is professor at the University of León (Ponferrada campus), and coordinator of the research group DRACONES (Documentation, Reconstruction and Analysis of Complex Objects and Natural Environments)
