Paula de Andrés Anaya, PhD student and member of the TIDOP group, has recently returned from a research stay at the Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands).
The three-month stay was carried out at the Department of Geosciences and Remote Sensing under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Massimo Menenti and Dr. Roderik Lindenbergh, both experts in the field of photogrammetry and remote sensing.
The main objective of the work carried out during these months has been the study of the 3D distribution and correlation of the temperature of urban facades with geometrical parameters, such as the orientation of the facade and the height of the building. The study has focused on the city of Hong Kong, due to the availability of high-resolution thermal data obtained from a thermal camera on board a helicopter. These images are part of an extensive study carried out by Prof. Dr. Massimo Menenti and Dr. Jinxin Yang.
