Application of low-cost photogrammetry to forest inventories

Focused on the combination and exploitation of low-cost photogrammetric and LIDAR data for forest inventory purposes. This line of research seeks to exploit the main advantages of low-cost photogrammetric reconstruction (high point density of derived products, speed of acquisition and radiometric information) in order to obtain a classification and segmentation of the information necessary for this purpose (discretisation between vegetation and terrain).

As a result, a high quality Digital Surface Model is obtained.

Combining this product with the information coming from the LIDAR system (through the PNOA) it is possible to obtain high quality Digital Vegetation Models.
